Plot
Ellie Christianson, 14, lives in a prosperous neighborhood with her parents, Karen and Ben, and her sister Inger. Under their special lifestyle is colored with dysfunction and chaos. Ben is a workaholic with a busy schedule that keeps him away from home for most of the day. Karen, meanwhile, spends time in pursuit of a forbidden relationship with her family neighbor, Lawson Smith, while her daughter prepares for school. She impulsively dismissed Lena Anderson, her housekeeper, as a means to spend her free time with Lawson, and was completely unaware that the startled Ellie had secretly witnessed one of their contacts.
Karen has an ongoing ongoing relationship with Ellie, culminating in a heated confrontation one day after the older daughter does not obey orders not to wear too much makeup at school. Ellie finally mercilessly kills her mother in anger. He selfishly begins to assume his wifest assignment to Ben by waiting in bed at night, wearing only underwear.
However, Ben gradually develops some romantic feelings for the former housekeeper, Lena, and they finally get married. An impromptu wedding ceremony sparked jealousy for Ellie because she wanted to be his wife.
While the supposed "love triangle" plays on Ellie's crooked mind, his mother's "accident" is tragically investigated by Detective Boland. When Karen's "accident" was later ordered to be murder, she referred to Ellie as the main suspect. He immediately decided to run away from home, going to Portland with his deceased mother's lover, Lawson, behind him.
After his family searched for months for Ellie, he suddenly returned home. He was greeted by Inger, who knew exactly what was happening to his mother. Inger finally killed Ellie, basically inheriting his "bad" nature.
