Fatal Smile is a Swedish hard rock band formed in Katrineholm in 1995 by lead guitarist and main songwriter Mr Y. Around 1996 Mr Y and bassist Marcus Johansson joined and started playing music together. Then they moved to Stockholm to give the music a full-time shot. The Fatal Smile Bands have been listed as influences including - among others - Whitesnake, Dio, Accept, Metallica, W.A.S.P and Dokken.

The band recorded a demo with two songs ("Hip MF/Sad & Gone") in 1999. The band's first original lineup consisted of Mr. Y on guitar, Markus Johansson on bass, Robin Lagerquist (formerly in Six Pack Solution) on drums and also HB Anderson, who joined in 2000, on vocals. H.B. Anderson was previously active in the bands Scudiero and Token.

The summer of 2001 the band began working on their debut recordings. The first song the band writes with is "Beyond Reality". The preferred producer is Jonas ÃÆ'-stman, who previously worked with Yngwie Malmsteen. The recording and mixing took six weeks and the album was released early in 2002. Beyond Reality is also the name of the recording, and released by GMR Music. This album included the bonus track Hip M.F. which was regularly played at rock clubs in Stockholm, and has since become one of the clearest songs during the concert. The music video for the Bad Kharma song was recorded in "GÃÆ'¶ta KÃÆ'¤llare", under the direction of Poppe Linge. Video is played quite often on ZTV (Swedish channel), but not on MTV - because it is considered too naughty. During the summer of 2003, the band held a small tour in the United States and played a show at the "Metal Meltdown Fest" in New Jersey, among others.

With the success of the following note "Neo Natural Freaks" released in 2006, the band gained more fans, both inside and outside Sweden. During this time the band was touring diligently, and played as an opening for the likes of W.A.S.P and Winger. One of the changes in the lineup was made at this point as Tomas Lindgren replaced Robin on drums.

Single "Learn, Love, Hate" (released 2005) is often played on radio and into the top three in Sweden. The following tour brought the band to Japan for performances in cities such as Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka.

The band has been working on a new record. The record will sound much heavier than the two previous recordings. In 2007 Mr. Y decided to recruit a new singer - Blade. Alx plays bass and ZTeff plays his drums. An entirely new lineup that will give the band a distinct and more raw sound than previous recordings.

The album "World Domination" was released in 2008. The album was mixed by experienced Michael Wagener, who had previously worked with Ozzy Osbourne and Skid Row. The band described the album as a basic 'rock and roll' album. The album received positive reviews and in turn intensified the following tour.

Music video to single "S.O.B" is often played in Sweden and Europe. The album was nominated for "Album of the Year" at the "Swedish Metal Awards" (Glam/Sleaze category) and the magazine "Sweden Rock Magazine" has featured it as an album this month.

The success of giving the band more opportunities to play a festival. Over 350 performances are played, including those on "Wacken Rocks South", "Hard Rock Hell" and "Rock Weekend".

The band members themselves call this an intense and decadent time for years of chaos. The Alx baseball player was seriously injured as he fell off the stage at a show at KÃÆ'¶penhamn.

The self-produced album 21st Century Freaks was released on May 14, 2012. The 22 completed songs have been reduced to 11 for the album. This album takes 11 months to complete. The first single from the album was "Welcome to the Freakshow", which brought the band's most expensive music video to date. The single reached gold status in June 2012. Drummer Philthy plays drums on the record. Previous drummer just tired of extensive tour. During the audition phase, more than 300 applications are accepted from around the world.

On the anniversary of the death of Ronnie James Dio, the band released a single and a video for the song "For The Last In Line".
