Trevor Dave Rhone (March 24, 1940 - September 15, 2009) is a Jamaican writer, playwright, and filmmaker. He co-wrote, with director Perry Henzell, the successful international film The Harder They Come (1972).

Trevor Rhone, who was the last of twenty-three years, grew up in the small town of Bellas Gate in Jamaica. After seeing his first game at the age of nine, he fell in love with the theater. Educated at Beckford & amp; Smith High School is now known as St. Jago High School ,, He started his theater career as a teacher after three years in charge at Rose Bruford College, a British drama school, where he studied in the early 1960s on scholarships. He was part of the revival of Jamaican theater in the early 1970s. Rhone participated in a group called Theater '77, which founded The Barn, a small theater in Kingston, Jamaica, to hold a local show. The group vision that came together in 1965 was that in 12 years, in 1977, there would be a professional theater in Jamaica.
His productive works include The Harder They Come films (1972), co-authors; Smile Orange (1974), based on the game of the same name; Top Rankin? ; Milk and Honey (1988), the winner; One Love (2003), favorite of the Cannes Film Festival.
He was awarded the Musgrave Gold Medal in 1988 for his work by the Institute of Jamaica.

Death
Trevor D. Rhone died on September 15, 2009 due to a massive heart attack, and was buried in Bellas Gate, St. Catherine, Jamaica. He survived by his three children, Traci, Trevor-David and Jonathan, Camella's wife and Sofia's grandson. in 2006
