Paula Apollo Anne Scharf-Daily (born February 16, 1967 in Guilford, Connecticut), better known by his stage name Apollo Smile , is a pop singer and songwriter, an actress and voice media personality. In the 1990s, Smile billed himself as "The Live Action Anime Girl" and was invited to several science fiction conventions as a guest.

Paula Scharf was born with a crooked hip tendon, leading her mother to enroll her in physical activity at the age of 3 years to treat it. So from an early age a trained dancer and gymnast was, once he graduated from Guilford High School in 1985, he went to study at the University of the Arts (Philadelphia) and then Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in New York City. When he introduced himself to a student in New York, he mistakenly heard Paula as "Apollo", and went on to say that it suited him even if the male name as Greek god Apollo "represents music, dance, light and poetry", so he go with it. The last part of his name came when a producer proposed the same surname, exploiting the praised Schilt's smile. He officially changed his name to Apollo Smile in 1991.
The injury made Scharf choose to seek a singing career, working with producer Freddie "Groove Commander" Richmond. After donating the song "Let's Rock" to the soundtrack of A & amp; M Records for the 1989 film Lost Angels , when a Los Angeles friend from Richmond visited her studio, she was impressed with the songs she was working on. Smile, and smuggle their recordings to Geffen Records executives. Immediately an A & amp; R went to New York to court Smile, and four months later he had signed a contract with DGC Records. In 1990, the song Smile "Thunderbox" was featured on the soundtrack album for the movie Tom Cruise Days of Thunder, and the following year he released a self-titled album, from which came the song. However, after that Smile fell along with most of the DGC signers.
In the mid-90s, Smile attended the anime convention, his lifetime fandom. This led to her reinvention of 1996 as "Live Action Anime Girl", dressed in a tight spandex outfit, with her blonde hair tied with a pink bow. His performances usually showcase music concerts featuring his original upbeat music and demonstrations of his martial arts skills. Soon he worked as an anime sound actress, and was summoned by the Sci-Fi Channel to host Anime Week in the summer of 1998. Other projects included self-published comics that featured him as a central figure, and Ulala's voice in the video game series Space Channel 5 .
