Adam Michael Sessler (born August 29, 1973) is an American video game journalist, personality and television consultant. He is best known as the former co-host for the X-Play video game review series and editor-in-chief of the G4 video game games section. After his departure from G4 in April 2012, Sessler is his longest television personality, employed by its predecessor ZDTV in 1998.
After his departure from G4, Sessler became editor-in-chief and content producer for Rev3Games. He left video game journalism in 2014 to become president for TheoryHead, a consulting firm for entertainment and media.

Sessler was born in Berkeley, California. He graduated from El Cerrito High School in 1991 and graduated from UCLA with a bachelor's degree in English literature. He was previously a credit analyst for ABN-AMRO in San Francisco, and an actor at San Francisco's public access television show Weigh Magnet Down, which he also helped make. Adam admitted that he was grateful to no longer work for the Fortune 500 company, telling at The X-Play Insider's Guide to Gaming that he was "deeply saddened" about the job. Sessler currently lives in San Francisco, California, with his wife, Amber.
At SGC 2013, Adam clearly states that his middle name is Michael and not Donovan, even mentioning the name Wikipedia.
Some of Sessler's favorite game series are the Halo series for first-person shooter quality; Japanese version Rez for its Trance Vibrator device; Banjo-Kazooie , Rayman , Ratchet & amp; Clank , and Sly Cooper series for their unique platform quality. In 2010, Sessler declared the top 5 games of the decade, in order to release: Deus Ex , Ratchet & amp; Clank: Up Your Arsenal , Shadow of the Colossus , Fable II , and Uncharted 2 . He also stated that Uncharted 2 is the experience of his favorite single player of all time. In his review of BioShock Infinite , he stated that he was in "companies dubbed titles like Half-Life 2 and Uncharted 2 ", hinting it become a new personal favorite. Likewise, she recently expressed interest in titles like Gone Home , The Last of Us (calling it one of the best games she's ever played), and LA Noire (refer to it as "moment while playing game").
Sessler's favorite gaming video game is the Ghosts' n Goblins , which he has declared on several occasions on the old episodes of Play Renewal and X-Play . He states: "When I was 9 years old I often cheated my parents and sneaked out into the local slums of such slums, Hubert Selby Jr. would get creeping there, smelling like a personal neglect.That's what I think, when I play my favorite game I ".
Sessler has a younger brother, Jonathan, who appears as Adam 2.0 in the X-Play ' 2005 April Fool Episode, an "imitation" from Adam who claims he is far more handsome than the original Adam with "USB port special "(a reference to Game Boy Advance SP replacing the original Game Boy Advance).

Careers
Sessler is the last remaining personality of the ZDTV network, enduring the development of the network from ZDTV (1998-2000) to TechTV (2000-2004), and the next transition to G4. Sessler is one of seven TechTV personalities, with Morgan Webb, Sarah Lane, Kevin Rose, Chi-Lan Lieu, Blair Butler and Brendan Moran, to withstand massive layoffs resulting from the G4 and TechTV mergers in May 2004.
In addition to co-hosting X-Play , Sessler also appears semi-regularly at Attack of the Show! as a video game correspondent. On April 1, 2005, Sessler bewildered many people by announcing he would go X-Play to hold a late-night talk show on G4 entitled Meet the Sess . A trailer of a new show aired on X-Play , shows Sessler verbally and physically abusing his guests until they release information about upcoming video games. Though very over-the-top and obviously fake, many viewers started flooding the G4 forum asking when the show will be aired, and if Sessler actually left X-Play . On several occasions, Sessler has since publicly announced that the show is actually an April Fool's joke. However, he has a podcast called Sessler's Soapbox and Feedback, where he discusses various game topics with other G4 correspondents and guests until the end of 2011, when he is replaced by Blair. On April 25, 2012, Sessler's employment contract was terminated by G4TV. No reason was given for his dismissal. In October 2012, he was listed as a judge in the reality competition of Syfty Viral Video Showdown.
On November 12, 2012, Sessler announced that he joined Revision3. He remains with the network as Editor-in-Chief and Executive Producer of game content on Rev3Games until April 2014, when he announces his departure to "explore new opportunities" in "games that help further the medium".
On April 2, 2014, Adam Sessler announced that he would leave Revision3 and would pursue a career outside of video game journalism.
On June 9, 2014, Sessler appeared as a panelist on Spike TV coverage on E3 2014.
On June 19th, 2015, she appeared as a pre-show and post-show host of Bethesda Game Studios E3 with her colleague Morgan Webb.
