The Seibu 30000 series ( ?? 30000? ) is a type of multi-unit electric train (EMU) operated by a private Operator Seibu Railway train on commuter service in the Tokyo area of ââJapan since April 2008, replacing the 101 series and 301 sets of three older doors. It's nicknamed "Train Smiles" ( ???????? , Sumairu Torein ) .

Design
The set is formed as two, eight, and ten units of cars, consisting of wide-bodied aluminum (2930 mm) 20 m long four-door car with no final gate. Six sets of cars are also scheduled to be built in fiscal 2011, but nothing is finally handed over.

Fleet
Starting April 1, 2015, the fleet consists of six sets of ten cars, 17 sets of eight cars, and six sets of two cars, based in Kotesashi, Minami-Iriso, Musashigaoka, and Tamagawa-Josui depots for use in Seibu Shinjuku Line and Seibu Ikebukuro Line workings.
The last set was booked, eight cars set 38118, delivered in June 2016, bringing the total fleet size to 216 vehicles (30 sets).
Formation
The set is formed as shown below.
2-car set
- Mcsets are equipped with two arm tents.
8-car set
- The M1 and M5 cars are each equipped with one arm taper.
10-car set
- The M1 and M6 cars are each equipped with one arm taper.
Interior
Seating consists of a bench elongated seating throughout. The wheelchair space is provided in two outer cars at each end of a set of eight cars and in 32100 cars sets two cars. Priority chairs are provided at the end of each car. The set is built from 2013 fiscal features of LED lighting and transparent luggage racks in place of previous stainless steel racks.
History
The first train entered service at Seibu Shinjuku Line on April 26, 2008.
