One Way Ticket to Hell... and Back is the second studio album by the British rock band The Darkness. It was released on November 28, 2005 through Atlantic Records and achieved platinum status in the UK. The first single from the album, "One Way Ticket", reached number 8 on the UK Singles Chart, as did the second single "Is It Just Me?" The bassist, Frankie Poullain, says that "Hazel's Eye" is his favorite song in the notes, quoting, "I'm against anyone after a few drinks to listen to" Eyes Hazel "standing up and NOT getting Michael Flatleys." Poullain already familiar with six of the ten songs on the album, played "Hazel Eyes", "Dinner Lady Arms", "Looks Like a Good Idea at the Time" and "State Park of England" on tour with the band before his departure. He also co-wrote the four songs featured on this album. The working title for the album is The Painstaking . Most of the bass on the album was played by Dan Hawkins, following the departure of Frankie Poullain. Reviews for albums are mixed. Q the magazine proclaimed the 22nd best album of 2005. But Planet Sound says how it is "the world's most expensive joke penis", about the expensive delay of the album. In an interview with The Sun , Dan said it cost $ 1 million to make it.
