Hash browns or hashed browns is a simple preparation in which potatoes are fried after shredded, diced, sliced ââor sliced, in Swiss RÃÆ'östi style. In some cultures, hashed browns or hashed browns may refer to either of these preparations, while others may refer to a specific preparation. Hash browns are a staple breakfast food in restaurants in North America and England, where they are often fried with a large stove or grill.
In some parts of the United States, fried potatoes strongly refer to the chopped or chopped fries and are considered breakfast foods, while the diced or diced and fried potatoes are also a side dish called country fries or fries (although many variations of fries are cooked before being fried). Some recipes add onions cut or chopped.
Hash browns are popular mass-produced products that are sold in both refrigerated and frozen varieties. Hash browns are also available in dehydrated form.

A cook can prepare french fries by forming a peeled potato into a patty before frying with onions (starch and potato starch can put it together); However, if a bonding agent is added (egg or oil for example), such preparation is a potato pancake. Frozen hash chocolates are sometimes made into patty forms for ease of handling, and compact flat forms can also be cooked in a toaster or toaster. If a potato dish that has been sawed contains minced meat, food scraps, or other vegetables, it is more commonly referred to as hash .
Hash browns are also produced as dry food, which is sometimes used by backpackers.
