Glitter Force Doki-Doki , known in Japan as Doki Doki! PreCure (Japanese: ????! ????? , Hepburn: Dokikoki! Purikyua , literally "Heart-Pounding! Pretty Cure") , is a Japanese anime series produced by Toei Animation as the tenth installment of Izumi Todo's franchise Pretty Cure . The series was produced by Hiroaki Shibata, who produced the Digimon Data Squad and written by Ry? Ta Yamaguchi, who wrote the script for The Vision of Escaflowne . The character design is handled by Akira Takahashi, who previously did the design for Suite PreCure . The series airs on the ANN network between February 3, 2013 and January 26, 2014, replacing Smile PreCure! in the start time slot, and replaced by HappinessCharge PreCure! . An animated film based on the series was released on October 26, 2013. The theme of this series revolves around playing cards and human emotions.

Toei produced the English series rank, summarizing the original forty-nine episodes into thirty. Saban Brands is credited with the production of English rank, but the Glitter Force trademark was moved to Toei in June 2017. The first fifteen episodes began streaming on Netflix from August 18, 2017. The second season, also comprised of fifteen episode, was released on November 10, 2017. This is the third installment of the series to receive the English rank, and a second English adaptation under the Glitter Force brand.

Plot

Splendorius ( ?????? , Toranpu? Koku , Kingdom of Trump) is a wizarding world where everyone's hearts live happily with the guidance of their leader, Princess Marie Angelica. However, one day, the evil forces known as the Mercenares (Jikochu) attacked the kingdom. A fighter serving Marie Angelica goes into the human world with a pixie couple to find the missing princess, and they bring a trio of young girls to find special girls who can be given supernatural powers to help save the empire.

Kippie (Sharuru), one of the Pixies, found an enthusiastic middle school girl named Maya (Mana) during a visit to the Clover Tower. When Maya meets a monster called Distain (Jikochu), which is formed from a deteriorating heart from someone, Kippie gives her the ability to transform into a magical Glitter Heart (Cure Heart) using an item called Glitter Charms ( ??????? , Kyua Rab? zu , Cure Loveads) and devices like smartphones called a Glitter Pad < span> ( ????????? , Rabur? Komy? n , Lovely Commune) . Maya joins her friends Rachel (Rikka) and Clara (Alice) and the original girl Mackenzie (Makoto) to form a magical Glitter Power.

The main antagonist in the movie. Men carry flutes. He proclaimed himself as "the king of the world of memories" and somehow developed a hatred of Mana. He also hates humans who throw away old things for new ones and want to trap everyone into their past for ever. It is later revealed that he is actually Mallow, the beloved dog Mana who died in a car accident.

The real antagonist of the movie and the mastermind behind the scheme. At first, it was a clarinet Marsh brought. After Marsh was unable to destroy Mana, Clarinet led and sought to destroy the future. It was later defeated by Cure Heart in Engage Mode. at The Ballerina of the Land of Dolls, Black Fang reveals that he created Clarinet to fulfill his plan to destroy Cures.

Anime

The series is aired on ABC and other ANN stations between February 3, 2013 and January 26, 2014. Marvelous AQL began releasing the series on DVD from May 29, 2013 and on Blu-ray Disc from September 27, 2013.

Toei Animation produces an English series rank, titled Glitter Force Doki Doki . His first season was released on Netflix on August 18, 2017, consisting of 15 episodes and spanning multiple languages. Doki Doki is the second series to be released under the Glitter Force brand after the Toei acquisition of the trademark of Saban Brands, however, Saban Brands is still credited with the production of the English Version.

Movies

The DokiDoki Pretty Cures appear in the Pretty Cure All Stars movie, Pretty Cure All Stars Stage 2: Friends of the Heart ???????????? New Phase 2 ???????? , PuriKyua? Ru Sut? Zu Ny? Sut? Ji Ts ?: Kokoro no Tomodachi ), released in Japanese theaters on March 16, 2013, with an official soundtrack released on March 13, 2013. A film based on the series, titled DokiDoki! Precure the Movie: Where Is Married !!? The Dress of Hope is Tied to the Future ( ?????! ????? ???? !!? ??????? ????? , Eiga DokiDoki! Purikyua: Mana Kekkon !!? Mirai ni Tsunagu Kib? no Doresu ) , was released on 26 October 2013 as well as the official soundtrack on October 23, 2013.

Music

The series uses three theme songs, one opening theme and two cover themes. The opening theme is "Happy Go Lucky! DokiDoki! Precure" Good Luck! ????! ????? , < i> Good Luck! DokiDoki! Purikyua ) by Tomoyo Kurosawa. The closing theme for the first 26 episodes is "Kono Sora no Muk?" ( ??????? , "Beyond the Sky") while the closing theme for the remaining 23 episodes is "Love Link" ( ????? , Wednesday Rinku ) , both done by Hitomi Yoshida. The opening theme was composed by Chiho Kiyooka, a cover theme by Dr.Usui and background music by Hiroshi Takaki. A character song album featuring songs performed by Kanako Miyamoto (as Cure Sword), titled "Songbird", was released by Marvelous AQL on May 29, 2013, along with the first soundtrack sound, Pretty Cure Sound Love Link .

The first vocal soundtrack series titled DokiDoki! PreCure Vocal Album 1 ~ Jump up, GIRLS! ~ ( ????! ????? ???????? ~~ Jump up, GADIS! ~ , Documented! PuriKyua B? karu arubamu 1 ~ Jump up, GIRLS! ~ ) released on July 17, 2013. Second vocal album for the series entitled ~ 100 % PRECURE DAYS? ~ was released on November 6, 2013. Then on November 20th, the second original soundtrack for the series was released under the title "Pretty Cure Sound Arrow". On January 15th, 2014, the best vocal album for the series was released.

For the English version, the theme song is "Glitter Force Doki Doki Theme Song" composed by Noam Kamiel and performed by the Asian Blush girl group.

Manga

The manga adaptation by Futago Kamikita starts to glow in Kodansha Nakayoshi magazine in March 2013 and ends in February 2014.

Merchandise

Merchandise from the anime was also issued during the initial process of the series including bags, watches, raincoats, etc. Some toys featuring Cure transformation devices and weapons were also released by Bandai during the series show.

Video game

The characters in this series appear in a dance video game, PreCure All Stars: Everyone Gather Ayo Dance! ( ??????????????????????????! , Purikyua? ru Sut? zu Zen'in Sh? g? Rettsu Dansu! ) , released for Wii in Japan on March 28, 2013. A game by series , Dokidoki! PreCure Narikiri Life! ( ????! ????? ???????! , Dokidoki ! Purikyua Narikiri Raifu! ) , released by Bandai for Nintendo 3DS on August 1, 2013.
