"Desecration Smile " is a song from the Red Hot Chili Peppers and on their 2006 double album, Stadium Arcadium . The song is the fourth single released from the album.
The song was first heard by fans when it was played at Bridge School Benefit in 2004. After hearing it was a new song, fans would definitely hijack the song and put it on the internet. However, the structure and chorus of this song is different from the version released at Stadium Arcadium .
The single contains censored albums, "Joe" (which is a tribute to Joe Strummer) and "Save This Lady". Both songs are also in the single for "Hump de Bump".

Music videos
The music video was taken and released in February 2007 and directed by director "Under the Bridge" Gus Van Sant. It was shot entirely in one shot with one camera and featuring the band huddled together singing along the way.
There is also an alternative version of the band that sings and plays their instruments by the ocean cut along with parts of the official video.
Although the first is considered official, it is an alternate version published on Warner Bros.'s official account. YouTube.
Live show
"Desecration Smile" has been performed 14 times with her first performance in 2004, two years prior to the release of Arcadium Stadium . The version features different lyrics and choruses. This song has not been done since 2007.
