The BN Biscuit (or Biscuiterie Nantaise) is a French biscuit brand, made up of stuffing, like chocolate, flanked between two biscuits. Launched in 1932, it was acquired by United Biscuits in 1998, and relaunched in September 2000. They were produced on the United Biscuits website in Nantes, France.
BN is produced in two different forms: circles and round squares. One side of the biscuit is decorated with one of four different faces. There are seven different flavors of BN biscuits: chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, pudding, raspberry, apricot and milk chocolate. They also come in various "Mini BN".
The re-launch in September 1999 in the United Kingdom involved an advertising campaign under the name "BN BN" sung along with the catchy song "Mah NÃÆ' Mah NÃÆ'". Despite a public petition, BN Biscuits is not sold in the UK for a 10-year difference (2003 to 2013); However, they are still sold in many French and Afghan stores.
In 2013, BN returned to the UK supermarket with new packaging and logos, branded as "McVitie's BN". New ads for biscuits once again show "Mah NÃÆ' Mah NÃÆ'".
