Akshaya Alshi, born 15 May 1996, Mumbai, Maharashtra) is an Indian model and a beauty pageant titleholder from Gujarat. Alshi was 20 years of age when she was crowned Miss Cosmopolitan world India 2016 and represented India at Miss Cosmopolitan World 2016 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, A major International Beauty Pageant. She is the winner of a national level pageant called Miss Glam India 2016 crown.

Early life and education
Akshaya was born in Mumbai , Maharashtra. Hailing from a town Virar in Maharashtra. She was brought up in Daman which is a union territory. She is the only child of Mr. Santosh Gajanan Alshi and Mrs Alshi. Her mother is a doctor and father is an engineer. Being raised in a well-to-do family, she had all the support from her parents to achieve her dreams. Akshaya has completed her schooling from Smt Sandraben Shroff Gnyan Dham School, Vapi, Gujarat. For further studies, she shifted to Bangalore in the year 2014. She has done graduation in Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Jain University, graduated in the year 2017.
Early career
Akshaya Alshi first got into the world of fashion as a nineteen year old. working in the industry in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore Singapore and Malaysia. Since being in the international Beauty Pageant, she has had opportunities to work in the fashion industry. In an interview, when asked how her life has changed after winning the Title, she replied: "It has changed a lot. Right after the win, I started getting quality work , The quality of work shot up to a total new level. And Since i met so many new people, socializing with them, so many nice, very warm-hearted people. I have got to travel the world, see more places, got a pinch of different cultures and traditions, which is very fulfilling me." She has posed for fashion designers for their designs and Lakme fashion displays.
She was also selected as a Miss India for an international beauty pageant called Miss Culture Worldwide 2017 which was held in Johannesburg, South Africa. Due to personal reasons, Akshaya Alshi could not go. Before these events, earlier she was the winner of Femina Miss India Campus Princess 2016 where she represented her university, which was held in IIM, Bangalore, Karnataka. As a teen she had been a part of many other contests on national level like, Miss Queen of India 2015 and World Supermodel India 2016 (top 3)

Akshaya is the titleholder and won the Title of Miss Cosmopolitan World India at the Miss glam India 2016 beauty pageant in Bangalore. This is a national beauty pageant competition in India, which annually selects three winners Hina Azad, and Shabnam Ali who represented India in their respective pageants. Alongside Alshi won subtitles of Miss active, Miss Rampwalk and Miss National costume.
Miss Cosmopolitan World 2016
Alshi represented India in Miss Cosmopolitan World, beauty pageant in Kuala Lumpur city, Malaysia.
She won with Miss Social Media, the special award in the 2nd edition of The Cosmopolitan pageant. She also placed in the Talent Round, She performed a graceful Bollywood number that combined Oriental and Middle Eastern styles, including a hint of belly dancing and Folk dance of Gujarat, Garba. in an event at the Quill city Mall. During the pageant time, She attended the Press Conference held at Hotel Istana, KL. With the confident smile, she spoke about India and posed for the Media. She along with the other country contestants, Alshi spent quality time with children from Rumah Charis - an organisation that caters child care and foster program to kids that suffered abandonment and desertion from their parents, and raised a huge amount of charity for them. She was invited for the ribbon -cutting ceremony at the grand opening of A saloon Prestige at KLCC along with other finalists. While Representing India, Alshi also graced Red carpet Event at the Forking Cork for Fundraising in Kuala Lumpur. She then went to Penang for the promotion of the grand pageant and spoke about India and made a mark there. She has shot for the Luxury Clothing Brand called Logo Fashion after the pageant. Being animal lover her self, She attended the festival Furry friends Farm in Jinjang Hawker Centre, Kuala Lumpur . She did a phenomenal charity photo shoot for them with animals and raised funds. She wore a shimmering white gown designed by Marry Merry from Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, for the coronation night of Cosmopolitan world.
After reign of Miss Cosmopolitan World India
She flew to attend The finale of The same pageant at Malaysia in September, held at Hotel Marriot, Putrajaya, for Celebrity guest appearance. She has been walking for fashion shows as showstopper and currently modelling in Bangalore and Mumbai, India
Career
Alshi began her career in modelling at an early age of 18. She is one of the top models in the Southern part of India. She has walked for weeks like London fashion couture, Indian beach style week, and international shows in Malaysia and shot for designers in Singapore. She has walked a lot of shows as a showstopper. She is attending a lot of festivals and judging collect fests. She has finished shooting for a Tamil short film and talks are going about her Debut in Tamil film industry.
